From Perry High to the NBA Finals: Gilbert Unveils Jalen Williams Way
🚦 Gilbert Honors a Hometown Hero
The Town of Gilbert recently unveiled Jalen Williams Way, an honorary street sign located just outside Perry High School. It’s a tribute to the incredible journey of a local athlete who’s gone from high school standout to NBA breakout star.
So why all the buzz?
Jalen graduated from Perry High in 2019, went on to Santa Clara University, and was drafted 12th overall by the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2022. In just a short time, he’s made a name for himself as a core part of OKC’s rising team—and now, he’s making history as the first Perry alum to step onto the NBA Finals stage.
📍 Where to Find It:
The Jalen Williams Way signs will be up throughout the Finals. If you're in the area, swing by Perry High (1919 E Queen Creek Rd) to check it out and snap a photo.
đź’ˇ Local Tip: Planning to visit? Grab a bite at one of the nearby small businesses or coffee spots while you’re there—it's a great way to celebrate local pride.
